In 1996, Dr. Colin E. Bailey was a full partner in a nine man Cardiovascular Surgery Group located in Missouri. He was then recruited by Lake Regional Hospital to start the Heart and Vascular Surgery program.  Between 1997 and 2006, he was the director of Cardiovascular Services at Lake Regional Hospital.  During that time the Cardiovascular surgical results have consistently been rated in the top two of the eight cardiovascular surgery programs in Central Missouri.  In 2006, Lake Regional‘s Cardiovascular Surgery program was given a five star rating for Carotid Artery surgery by “Health Grades.”  This rating is based on three years of surgical results and ranks the program in the top 5% nationally for this procedure.

Due to a growing patient need for comprehensive vein care Dr. Bailey established a vein treatment center at the lake in 2004.  This quickly became extremely busy and has grown to the point where people travel from around the mid-west for treatment.  As a natural extension to the medical treatment of leg vein disease the center now treats facial veins and provides the full spectrum of Aesthetic skin care. In September 2006, Bailey Vein and Aesthetic Centre’ was designated as a Physician training site for advanced vein care techniques. Despite the rapid evolution of Bailey Vein and Aesthetic Centre’, Dr. Bailey continues to provide cardiovascular surgical care at Lake Regional Hospital one week each month.
