Facelift (Rhytidectomy)

In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces: deep creases appear beside the mouth, the jaw line slackens, and folds and fat deposits appear on the neck. Facelifts counteract these problems by removing fat and tightening skin and muscles, giving your face a fresher, youthful look. After surgery, some patients appear 10-15 years younger.

A facelift can be combined with a browlift, eyelid surgery or nose reshaping for more dramatic results, or it can be restricted to the neck (necklift) if the patient’s problems center there. Incisions are made in inconspicuous places such as behind the hairline and in natural folds of the face and ears, and scars fade to near invisibility in time. Results of a facelift do not last forever, but in another sense, the effects are permanent; years later, your face will continue to look better than if you had never had the procedure.

Eyelid Surgery (Laser Blepharoplasty)

Blepharoplasty can rejuvenate puffy, sagging or tired-looking eyes by removing excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. It may be performed for cosmetic reasons or to improve sight by lifting droopy eyelids out of the patient’s field of vision. The procedure is usually performed in an office with local anesthesia in as little as 45 minutes. Blepharoplasty can be combined with a facelift or BOTOX® treatments to raise the eyebrows or reduce the appearance of wrinkles, crow’s feet or dark circles under the eyes.

Forehead Lift (Browlift)

Browlifts can revitalize drooping or lined foreheads, helping you to look less angry, sad or tired. Using either traditional or minimally invasive (endoscopic) methods, the muscles above the eyes are altered to smooth lines and raise the eyebrows for a more youthful appearance. The procedure is often combined with other operations such as blepharoplasty and facelifts to improve the look of the eyes and other areas of the face.

Neck Lift

The neck is often one of the first areas of the body affected by the signs of aging, resulting in wrinkled, hanging skin that can make you look much older than you feel. A neck lift is a surgical procedure that sculpts and smoothes the neck for a younger, natural-looking appearance with no clear signs of surgical intervention.

During a neck lift, liposuction may be used to remove fat, while additional procedures remove excess skin and tighten the neck muscles for a younger-looking appearance. Many patients choose to combine a neck lift with a facelift, forehead lift or eyelid surgery to maximize results.

Facial Implants

Whether or not we notice it consciously, full cheeks are often a part of how we judge a person’s face. Cheek implants can have a major impact on the appearance and self-confidence of patients whose cheeks have thinned or sunken due to age, illness or other causes. Likewise, the chin helps provide harmony to the facial features. Often, patients come to the office desiring a smaller nose when, in fact, a chin augmentation provides a balance to the facial features. Implant sizes and shapes to augment the cheek and chin are tailored to each patient’s desired appearance.

Ear Surgery (Otoplasty)

Ear surgery for children or adults can set prominent ears back closer to the head and reduce the size of large ears. Surgery may also be helpful for “lop ear,” “cupped ear” and “shell ear,” large or stretched earlobes, and lobes with creases and wrinkles. The procedure lasts from two to three hours and may be performed in a hospital, office-based facility or an outpatient surgery center under general or local anesthesia.

Lip Enhancement

Full and vivacious lips have always been recognized as aesthetically important features. Some of us, however, are born with thin, ill-defined lips, or our lips lose their fullness with age. But the appearance of our lips is now within our control. Fine lines and wrinkles, thin lips and a drooping corner of the mouth are all areas that can be aided with injectable fillers. The market is ever changing, with new products appearing rapidly. Care is individualized to provide a safe and effective treatment option.

CHIN SURGERY

Chin surgery, also known as mentoplasty/genioplasty, is a surgical procedure to reshape the chin either by enhancement with an implant or reduction surgery on the bone. Many times a plastic surgeon may recommend chin surgery to a patient having nose surgery in order to achieve facial proportion, as the size of the chin may magnify or minimize the perceived size of the nose. Chin surgery helps provide a harmonious balance to your facial features so that you feel better about the way you look.
